Summary Dr Nomanul Haq was invited by Oxford Centre for lecture at University of Oxford.
He has been invited for a presentation on the history of science in Muslim societies.The occasion was a seminar on the present and contemporary juncture of science in the Islamic world and was held at the grand Ditchley House in Oxfordshire.The conference was attended by some leading world scholars in the field as well as a number of scientists, including Professor George Saliba of Columbia University, Dr. David Clary FRS, Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Dr. Peter Pormann of Manchester University.Ditchley House, a historic mansion occupying a very large estate, was once the residence of Winston Churchill and is currently the venue of NATO meetings.
