Faisalabad: Agri Uni staff threatens to lock campus

Summary Staff of Faisalabad Agriculture University has warned to lock campus if funds not released.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is also facing crisis where agriculture scientists and other academic staff have started taking out protest rallies against the suspension of funds.The protesters have demanded to provide the funds through Higher Education Commission. They also announced to include the students in their demonstrations.Currently the number of students in Faisalabad Agriculture University is 13,000 who are facing suspension of research process while 600 agri scientists and 2,000 non academic staff have threatened to intensify their protest.The university management has also written to the federal and Punjab governments for urgent provision of funds but the things are going from bad to worse instead of any improvement.
