LPG mafia increases prices by Rs 15 per KG

Summary LPG mafia has once again increased prices by up to Rs 15 per KG.

Chairman LPG Distribution Association Irfan Khokhar on Monday said that prices of LPG has been increased to Rs 175 which is the highest price in the history while OGRA has not issued any notification in this regard.He said that after this increase prices of domestic cylinder has been increased to Rs 170 and commercial cylinder to Rs 680.He alleged that LPG marketing companies are involved in profit maximization at domestic and commercial cylinders.Irfan Khokhar said that on the pretext of increase in the international market LPG maphia and marketing companies in the countries has increased the LPG price which is unjustified.He said in Gilgit Baltistan, FATA, Muzaffar Abad, Mansehra, Nathya gali and Swat prices of LPG has been increased from Rs 160 to Rs 170 per kg while price of domestic cylinder has been increased from Rs 1870 to Rs 2050.In Rawalpindi, Islamabad Murree and Attock, prices of LPG have been increased from Rs 145 to Rs 155 per kg and from Rs 1690 to Rs 1810 has been increased per domestic cylinder.Price of LPG in Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, SadiqAbad Rahim Yar Khan, Mandi Bahauddin and Sakhar has been increased from Rs 135 to Rs 145 and at domestic cylinder prices has been increased from Rs 1570 to 1690.Faisalabad, Gujrat , Jehlum, Mirpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan , Bahawalpur price of LPG has been increased from Rs 130 to Rs 140 per kg and at domestic cylinder price has been increased Rs1510 to Rs 1630 per cylinder.LPG prices in Lahore, Gujranwala, Qasoor, Sahiwal, Khaniwal, Jhang, and Sargodha has been increased from Rs 125 to Rs 135 per kg and at domestic cylinder price increased from Rs 1450 to Rs 1570.Price of LPG in Karachi has been increased from Rs 115 to Rs 125 and at domestic cylinder prices increased from Rs 1330 to Rs 1450 per domestic cylinder.Chairman LPG distribution association Irfan Khokhar said that in all this situation OGRA is silent spectator of the situation.He demanded Prime Minister, Chief Justice and Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources to take action against those companies which are involved in black marketing and selling the local gas on expensive rates. --Online
