State Bank withdraws Rs 34.5 billion from market

Summary The State Bank of Pakistan has withdrawn Rs 34.5 billion from market through open market operation.

The central bank sold T-bills under a three-day repurchase agreement to withdraw additional capital from the market. Interest of 12.04 was agreed on T-bills.Primary dealers had offered to buy T-bills worth Rs 40 billion. After the announcement of budget, the State Bank so far has sold T-bills worth Rs 46 billion through three open market operations.
