Karachis traders warn govt to close businesses for indefinite period

Summary Business community of Karachi has warned the government to shut their businesses for indefinite period due to deteriorating law and order situation in the city. They urged the government to immediately take action and improve the security situation.

Karachi Chamber of Commerce president Saeed Shafiq and traders’ leader Siraj Qasim Taili said this while addressing Special Committee for Small Traders. Traders were of the view that criminals were killing the traders but no action was being taken against them. The traders said that the government was failed to provide security to them while business activities were getting affected due to extortion and ransom cases.
