Summary Karachi stock exchange witnessed increase of only Rs 9 lakh in the open interest of futures last week.
From Monday to Friday, open interest of futures increased by 1 percent to close at Rs 1.31 billion. While, spread of the futures plunged to 3.02 percent with a decrease of 672 basis points. Due to low business activity, volume decreased to 38 lakh shares with a decline of 3.45 percent. Engro, PSO, MCB, UBL and National Bank remained the volume leaders as their percentage in overall volume remained 58 percent.
