Summary PIA advisor on finance has informed the standing committee for defence that PSO has refused to give more oil to PIA on credit and has demanded that supply would be halted till the payment of dues.
A meeting was held under the chair of Begun Ishrat Ashraf, to discussthe financial issues of PIA and PSO. In the meeting PIA finance advisor has informed that PSO has stopped oil supply to PIA till the payment of all dues, therefore, Rs 5 billion should be released for PIA. On the other hand, PSO has refused to give any oil supply to PIA on credit. In the meeting, it was decided that the matter should be discussed in the meeting of defence committee. The committee has also directed the PIAto come with its business plan in defence committee meeting.
