WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - American journalist Tucker Carlson has claimed that US President Donald Trump could launch a nuclear attack on Iran under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Carlson said Netanyahu, who is reportedly concerned about the outcome of Israel’s elections, needs Trump and another war to help him overcome his political difficulties.

Carlson alleged that the Israeli prime minister is exerting maximum pressure on his close allies within the Trump administration to push for a military strike against Iran.

According to Carlson, conventional US weapons may not be capable of reaching underground tunnels hidden deep inside Iran’s mountains.

As a result, he suggested that the option of using nuclear weapons could be under consideration.

He further claimed that pressure from Netanyahu could lead the Trump administration to consider a nuclear strike against Iran.

Meanwhile, Trump said a day earlier that the United States had destroyed Iran’s nuclear programme, adding that only one or two sites remained and that dealing with them would be a matter of just 10 minutes.
