TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned the United States of serious consequences for allegedly violating Iranian regulations in the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to target American military bases across the Middle East.

According to media reports, the IRGC said in a statement that US forces could face retaliation if they continued providing security escorts to vessels transiting the strategic waterway.

The statement warned that continued US military protection for ships in the Strait of Hormuz would be considered unlawful and could lead to attacks on American military installations throughout the region.

The IRGC also claimed that its naval forces simultaneously struck four vessels involved in oil transfers in the Gulf, setting them ablaze.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical energy shipping routes, carrying approximately one-fifth of global oil supplies before the conflict.

According to the report, Iran has kept the waterway closed since March in response to US and Israeli attacks, raising concerns over regional security and global energy supplies.
