PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spokesperson Shaukat Yousafzai has said the party’s march will continue until a meeting with the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan is arranged and all legitimate demands are accepted.

Yousafzai said the march would not end until the party’s demands are addressed. He also highlighted the allocation of Rs190 billion for the police in the current fiscal year’s budget.

Commenting on possible efforts to resolve the situation, Yousafzai said he had heard that Maulana Fazlur Rahman had been contacted to mediate between the government and the PTI.

He welcomed the possibility of mediation, saying that Maulana Fazl would be welcome to intervene if he choaoses to facilitate negotiations.

Yousafzai also criticised calls for the imposition of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming that those advocating the move were acting out of personal interest.

He accused the provincial governor of violating his oath by interfering in provincial affairs.

The PTI spokesperson reiterated that the march would continue until the party’s demands, particularly a meeting with its founder, were fulfilled.
