ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that timely and accurate intelligence information played a major role in the success of Marka-e-Haq, adding that advance intelligence support was crucial in securing victory.

Addressing a press conference, the interior minister said Pakistan’s intelligence agencies provided highly important and timely information during the conflict, which enabled advance preparation for operations. He said the intelligence proved almost entirely accurate, significantly improving operational outcomes.

Intelligence and battlefield advantage

Mohsin Naqvi said that intelligence inputs gave Pakistan a clear strategic advantage, allowing security forces to respond effectively to emerging threats. He stressed that coordination between agencies and field units remained highly effective throughout the conflict.

He added that the success of Marka-e-Haq was a result of national unity, professional excellence and modern defence capabilities, which the entire nation should be proud of.

Drone attacks and defence response

The interior minister said that drone attacks also played an important role during the conflict, as the enemy attempted to carry out strikes using small and medium-sized drones in different areas.

However, he said Pakistan successfully neutralized these attempts through an effective defence strategy. He noted that Rangers stationed along the border played a key role in downing incoming drones over several days.

According to him, most drones were intercepted at the border, while only a small number managed to reach urban areas. He added that personnel used available weapons, including guns, to shoot down drones in some cases.

Enemy attacks and response

Mohsin Naqvi revealed that India attacked nearly 100 Pakistani posts during the conflict, but Pakistan responded in a manner “they deserved.” He said images were also available showing enemy forces raising white flags along the Line of Control, signaling a halt to hostilities.

Cyber warfare attempts

The minister said the enemy also attempted cyberattacks, as modern warfare now includes digital and technological dimensions beyond traditional conflict.

He said Pakistan successfully defended against these cyber attempts, and the enemy failed to penetrate Pakistan’s systems. He praised the youth involved in cyber defence, saying their contribution was highly effective.

Media and information war

Mohsin Naqvi lauded Pakistan’s media for presenting the situation in a responsible and unified manner, saying it created national cohesion and a single voice across the country.

He contrasted this with Indian media, which he said remained confused and even spread contradictory reports, including claims of attacks on themselves. He added that Pakistan had clearly stated it would announce any action openly rather than through secrecy.
