ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A meeting of the Hajj Review Committee was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, where officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs briefed the participants on arrangements for pilgrims.
The officials informed the committee that five dispensaries have so far been established in Makkah in accordance with the number of Hajj pilgrims, while five bus stands have been allocated for Haram transport.
Secretary for Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chohan, and Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi gave detailed briefings during the meeting.
Chief Coordinator Makkah Dr Mirza Ali Mehsud, Coordinator Makkah Zulfiqar Khan, and Hajj Directors from Makkah and Madinah also participated in the meeting via Zoom from Makkah.
Addressing the meeting, the federal minister urged officials to remain vigilant throughout the Hajj operation and ensure that pilgrims’ problems are addressed immediately. He also emphasized that pilgrims should follow rules and regulations during their stay in Saudi Arabia and uphold the dignity of their homeland.
Director Madina informed the committee that more than 20,000 pilgrims had reached Madina till Tuesday. He added that over 11,000 pilgrims have completed their pilgrimage to Riyad-ul-Jannah.
Head of the Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission, Col. Dr. Tauqeer, informed the committee that one hospital and three dispensaries are currently functioning in Madina.
