PIA starts pre-Hajj flight operation from Lahore

Summary According to sources, first Hajj flight, PK-747 carrying 310 pilgrims departed Allama Iqbal International Airport. More than 12,000 pilgrims will depart from Lahore through 34 special Hajj flights.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has also started its pre-Hajj operation from Lahore and the first PIA flight departed for Medina on Friday

According to sources, first Hajj flight, PK-747 carrying 310 pilgrims departed Allama Iqbal International Airport. Initially, all Hajj flights are heading to Medina.

Sources further informed that more than 12,000 pilgrims will depart from Lahore through 34 special Hajj flights.

The pilgrims were seen off by PIA Station Manager Ashfaq Awan, District Manager Wajid Saleem, and senior PIA officials after a graceful ceremony held at the airport. PIA also distributed umbrellas among the pilgrims.
