KP police foiled a militant attack in Central Kurram, killing four attackers; two policemen martyred as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the force’s bravery and professionalism.
KURRAM (Dunya News) - In Central Kurram, security forces thwarted an attack by militants on the Chinarak police check-post, according to police officials.
District Police Officer (DPO) Kurram said that four militants were killed and six others injured in the exchange of fire, while two police personnel embraced martyrdom during the operation.
Local sources reported that the attackers set the Chinarak police check-post on fire, and the gun battle between militants and police continued for several hours.
The DPO added that additional police units were immediately dispatched to the area, engaging the militants in a three-hour-long, courageous operation.
Mohsin Naqvi pays tribute
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the police for eliminating four militants, lauding their professionalism and timely response that foiled the militants’ plans.
He also paid tribute to the two martyred policemen and expressed heartfelt condolences to their families.
