Faisal Karim Kundi says PPP always created jobs, backed labour rights and public welfare; urges unity, praises armed forces, and calls for federal–provincial cooperation to ensure peace and developmen
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that whenever the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) came to power, it created employment opportunities for the public.
Addressing PPP’s foundation day ceremony in Peshawar, Kundi said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gifted the country nuclear technology and that the party has always played a significant role in national politics.
He praised the armed forces for giving a strong response to Indian aggression, saying Pakistan inflicted a “humiliating defeat” on India. He added that Bilawal Bhutto effectively presented Pakistan’s case at the international level.
Kundi highlighted that the Benazir Income Support Programme is benefiting ten million families and reiterated that PPP has always believed in public welfare. He said the party has consistently safeguarded labour rights and will continue to do so.
The governor noted that the armed forces remain determined to eliminate terrorism, while Afghan soil is still being used for terrorist activities.
Kundi stressed that the provincial government cannot function without cooperation from the federal government, and that development is impossible unless both governments remain on the same page. He said federal and provincial authorities must work together to maintain law and order.
Addressing party workers, he urged them to support security forces for peace and development in the province. “Every family has differences, but we must unite to strengthen the PPP,” he added.
