ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Director General (DG) Met Office Sahibzada Khan has stated that the news circulating on social media yesterday about water being released from the Salal Dam was incorrect.

Speaking on Dunya News’ program “Dunya Mehr Bukhari Ke Saath,” Sahibzada Khan said that India has provided information regarding the Sutlej River.

He stated that 260,000 cusecs of water is coming, and no information has been provided by India regarding the Chenab River. He reiterated that the news on social media yesterday about water being released from the Salal Dam was not accurate.

The DG Met Office further added that the Indian dams on the Sutlej River are completely filled.
