ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government has decided to produce a historic web series on Pakistan’s founding fathers, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal, aiming to reconnect younger generations with the ideological foundations of the country.
Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said the initiative seeks to familiarise youth with the intellectual journey behind Pakistan’s creation, constitutional values and national principles. His remarks came after a detailed meeting with leading media houses and prominent producers to discuss the proposed historical drama.
According to the minister, the project is being planned in connection with the 150th birth anniversaries of Jinnah and Iqbal. Participants in the meeting exchanged views on producing a high-quality historical series that reflects the lives, struggles and vision of the two national figures.
Iqbal stressed that purposeful storytelling remains one of the most powerful tools for nation building. He described the web series as part of a broader national strategy to preserve historical awareness among young people and ensure they understand not only the leaders’ struggles but also the values and determination that shaped the nation.
The minister said the series is expected to project Pakistan’s narrative effectively on the global stage while serving as a vehicle for cultural diplomacy and intellectual outreach.
