Sunil Malhotra, father of Sidharth Malhotra, passes away in Delhi

(Web Desk) - Actor Sidharth Malhotra’s father, Sunil Malhotra, died in Delhi on Saturday, February 14. The actor is in the capital with his family after completing the last rites.

Sidharth and his wife, actor Kiara Advani, travelled to Delhi as soon as they got the news and have stayed back to support the family. Sources say Sunil Malhotra had been unwell for a long time before his death.

Family members confirmed that the last rites have been performed, and the family will remain in Delhi for a few more days.

A former Merchant Navy commander, Sunil Malhotra played a significant role in shaping his son’s upbringing and career. He was widely regarded as a guiding and influential figure in Sidharth’s life.

In an emotional tribute posted online, Sidharth described his father as a man of integrity, principles and dignity. He wrote that from commanding the seas as a Merchant Navy captain to confronting illness with quiet resilience, his father never wavered from his values. Despite being wheelchair-bound after paralysis, he remained strong in spirit.

“Papa, your integrity is my inheritance. Your strength guides me every day,” the actor wrote, vowing to carry forward his father’s name, values and legacy.
