Two most wanted extortionists arrested in Karachi police raid

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Saturday night claimed to have arrested two most wanted extortionists in a raid conducted on information given by an under custody suspect during interrogation, Dunya News reported.

The raid was carried out jointly by SIU and CIA in Nazimabad. The suspected criminals identified as Jawad Qadri alias Khawaja and Shahzaib Mula were arrested during a raid on Qadri House.

According to SIU SSP Dr Imran, the suspects are involved in dozens of cases of extorting money from innocent people at gunpoint. Police also recovered a huge cache of illegal weapons, the SSP said, revealing the action was taken on information of the suspects’ accomplice Rehan arrested a few days ago.

Dr Imran added that the arrested suspects have also been involved in cases of murder and attempted murder.

They were running a network, Khatiya Wari, of shooters for targeted killings for extortion, besides possessing weapons.
