MURIDKE (Dunya News) – Four suspected drug pushers were killed in an alleged police encounter here on Thursday night.

According to Sadar Circle Crime Control Department (CCD) police, the alleged suspects were eliminated in the firing of their own accomplices during a shootout with law enforcers.

The suspects have been identified as Bashir, Naveed, Nasir and Faisal. Three of them are stated to be a father and two sons, whereas the fourth suspect was their cousin.

Police have claimed that the alleged drug pushers were history-sheeters and wanted by Faisalabad police in several case of drug smuggling and police encounters.

Giving detail about the alleged encounter, police have said the accused had come to Sheikhupura to hand over drugs to a dealer.

“When police, on a tip-off, raided them, they opened fire on the raiding team, who retaliated in its defence. In the shootout, four suspects were killed from the firing of their own accomplices, whereas their three accomplices escaped,” a police official said.

Nine kg drugs have been seized from them. Further investigation was underway. A manhunt was launched for the fleeing outlaws.
