Summary Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi described the potential use of nuclear weapons as a “very serious mistake” for the United States
TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi has warned the United States against attempting to use nuclear weapons against Iran, saying such a move could have serious consequences for US military interests around the world.
In an interview with US television network PBS, Naqdi said that if Washington made such a “mistake,” Iranian forces would seize American military bases around the world.
He described the potential use of nuclear weapons as a “very serious mistake” for the United States.
Naqdi said the current global situation is different from the era of World War II, arguing that people around the world are now more aware of the consequences of nuclear warfare and would not accept the use of nuclear weapons.

“If any country does so, it will itself become the next target,” he said.
The Iranian general also claimed that Iranian forces themselves would take control of US military bases, while insisting that Iran does not need a nuclear bomb.
He further asserted that the US military is “much weaker” than Iran expects.
Naqdi said Iran has sufficient missiles to sustain a war even if the conflict continues for years.
