In an important breakthrough, Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested an accused who is alleged to have planted a bomb in the Samjhauta Express, killed dozens Pakistani nationals that runs between India and Pakistan, Indian media reported on Monday.Two blasts on the train in February 2007 killed 68 people, most of who were travelling to Pakistan.“Kamal Chauhan was picked up from a village near Deepalpur town close to Indore in Madhya Pradesh. He was arrested after being questioned in Delhi,” said a senior agency official.Chauhan’s arrest will help the NIA corroborate Swami Aseemanand’s confessional statement before a magistrate in which he had claimed that Hindu extremists were behind the Samjhauta blast and September 2006 Malegaon bombing.
