Summary Iran stressed that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Islamabad for an official visit not for talks with US.
(Dunya News) - Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson said a delegation led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Islamabad for an official visit, where he will meet senior Pakistani officials amid ongoing mediation efforts.
Esmaeil Baqaei said the visit comes as Pakistan continues its “good offices” to help end what he described as an “American-imposed war of aggression” and restore peace in the region.
He added that no direct meeting is planned between Iran and the United States, with Tehran’s position to be conveyed through Pakistan instead.
We arrive in Islamabad, Pakistan, for an official visit. FM Araghchi will be meeting with Pakistani high-level officials in concert with their ongoing mediation & good offices for ending American imposed war of aggression and the restitution of peace in our region.
