Unidentified gunmen on a motorbike shot dead three telecom workers and wounded seven others in Indonesias restive Aceh province, police said Sunday.They killed the workers from Indonesias state-owned telecoms company PT Telkom on New Years Eve as they were resting in their rented house in Blang Cot Tunong village in Bireuen district, local police chief Yuri Karsono told AFP.Three people were killed and seven had gunshot wounds. Two gunmen came on a motorcycle, one got down and starting shooting at workers with a rifle, he said.Their motive remains unclear. We are still investigating, he added.Despite the end in 2005 of a separatist war that claimed around 15,000 lives, Aceh still experiences sporadic low-level violence, including armed robberies and politically motivated grenade and gun attacks.Last month, unidentified gunmen shot dead three oil palm plantation workers and wounded five others in north Aceh. Police suspected economic motivation behind the shooting.
