Summary US President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met on the sidelines of APEC summit.
US President Barack Obama said that he and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev discussed Afghanistan, Iran and Syria in their meeting on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.Speaking to reporters at the end of their meeting, Obama said he and Medvedev discussed Iran and talked of ways to work together.“We discussed Iran, and reaffirmed our intention to work to shape a common response so we can move Iran to follow its international obligations when it comes to its nuclear program,” Obama said.The two leaders are scheduled to take part in APECs Leaders forum, where the 21-member forum is expected to discuss trade, energy and the global economy.
