That is mainly the purpose to show solidarity with it and highlight issues that are relevant in our locales, in Kolkata and in India as a whole. Our demands are not very homogenous. There are many such demands that we are still trying to frame the demands organically. We have not started with the demands and then started with the movement. It is the other way around. We have started with the movement and organically the demands are formed from the movement with mass participation, said Debadyuti, a moderator of the Occupy Kolkata protest. The Occupy Wall Street movement began a month ago in lower Manhattan among a few young people, and has grown to tens of thousands around the country and the world.
