Summary A strong earthquake measuring 5.8 rattled US east coast on Tuesday.
The temblor rattled buildings in downtown Washington and was felt as far away as New York.The Pentagon was evacuated after the temblor, which according to the US Geological Survey had its epicenter near Richmond, Virginia.
