Indonesia: Volunteers provide veils in mosques

Thirty-seven year-old volunteer Yasmine Widyawati joined the movement in 2008 after hearing about it from a friend. She works to ensure the availability of clean prayer veils in the mosque in her Jakarta neighbourhood. She said that she was proud of doing something good for her Muslim faith. “I feel satisfied and I feel I can do something for my religion, Islam,” she said.It is a non-profit organisation and it aims to reach mosques far and wide in the country. One mosque which has benefited from the organisations work said its also a way of keeping the place of worship clean and tidy.
