Violence erupts between police and demonstrators in the Spanish capital Madrid early on Friday.The clashes began when the police tried to prevent the demonstrators, known as the Indignants, from entering Plaza Puerta del Sol - the square which has become the focal point of anti-government protests.At least 27 people, including seven policemen, were injured in the fighting.The youth protest movement started on May 15th ahead of municipal elections, with the spontaneous occupation of city centres across Spain.The demonstrations are part of a wave of protests across Europe against political leaders handling of an economic crisis which has left many young people facing an uncertain future.Spain has the highest unemployment ration among the countries of the European Union.
