Snow and winds wreaked havoc on traffic conditions and slowing operations at Chiles Collahuasi copper mine.Sand storms, heavy rain and snow cut access to several towns in the countrys northernmost region in one of the worst cold fronts seen in almost 20 years.Chilean meteorologist explained the weather system was unpredictable.Its a cold front that is autonomous and without a clear trajectory which is common with a frontal system.Reports indicated that the weather system would persist over the next few days, subsiding to isolated showers by Thursday.
