Summary Thailand banned sale of liquor ahead of national elections.
The unprecedented ban has been placed by the Election Commission. Officials believe that if people binge a night before polls, it impairs their decision power required to make informed decisions on the day of the polling.The polling stations will open 8am and results are expected to start coming by the nightfall.
