Summary Former security in-charge of Osama Saif al-Adl has been nominated as Al-Qaedas interim chief.

Owing to his closeness to Osama, he knows internal affairs of the network pretty well, it was claimed by the US media. CNN, quoting Libyan Jihadi leader Noman, said Saif is known as Mohammad Ibrahim Makkvi in Al-Qaeda network.He was not nominated by the Shura, instead, 6 to 8 leaders at Pak-Afghan border nominated him. He could face resistance from some leaders as they could prefer some Arab for the slot, it was reported.
