Maid in IMF chief case is Muslim

The 32-year-old maid in the Sofitel hotel who was sexually assaulted by the International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn is a Muslim.Her Lawyer Jeff Shapiro said that his client is a hard-working person and a single mother, supporting a 15-year-old young woman. She was grateful to have a job so she could provide food and shelter but since the incidents occurred, she has not been able to go home or back to work. She now fears about her future.In an interview, the maid’s brother said that she has been crying for two days and she havs been completely devastated by the incident. He also said that she was a good Muslim.Strauss-Kahn, the head of the IMF and a leading French politician tipped as a presidential candidate for 2012, was charged on Sunday morning with sexual assault and attempted rape. He though denies all charges.
