Summary The NATO planes launched missile attack on Libyan president Moammar Gaddafis compound in Tripoli.
According to eye witnesses the planes carried attacks on Gaddafi’s compound at 2:00am local time. The offices of the state controlled television and news agencies also came under the attack.NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said that Gaddafi must realize that his time is over now.In the western city of Ajdabiya the rebels gained some success and forced the government troops to retreat.Meanwhile, UN undersecretary general for humanitarian affairs informed the Security Council that many cities are facing food and water shortage due to current fighting in Libya.
