Summary Britain is urging its citizens to leave Yemen immediately amid the worsening security situation.
Britains Foreign Office said in a statement Wednesday it was calling on British citizens in Yemen to leave now as the government would find it very difficult to offer consular assistance in the event of further violence.The small impoverished country has seen increasingly bloody violence as its embattled president tries to cling to power amid a wave of revolts sweeping the Arab world.Britain has been advising its citizens to leave the country for nearly two weeks, but said it was making Wednesdays announcement in light of the increasing seriousness of the situation.
