Protests in the Arab States have reached Syria after going through Tunisia, Yemen and Bahrain. Pro-democracy protests continued in Yemen as protestors took out a rally in the capital city of Sana’a.In Syria, a small protest on Friday of about 150 people gathered momentum and speared throughout the country. So far, at least three people were killed in the protests in Dara as thousands of people attended their funeral. The protestors now demand the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad.In Yemen, police in an effort to stop the protests opened fire on the people, killing at least 42 people and injuring more than 300. Later Yemeni President, Ali Abdullah Saleh dismissed his entire cabinet after several government officials resigned due to the crack-down on the ongoing Pro-democracy protests. The United Nations also in protest announced the resignation of the Syrian Ambassador Abdullah Alsadi. In Bahrain, a crack-down on the protestors continued. Thousands attended the funeral of 47-year-old protestor who was killed in the crack-down. Despite the government declaring an emergency in the kingdom, the people refused to go back to their homes.In Saudi Arabia, protest in the capital city of Riyadh continued, as protesters called for the release of prisoners being held captive for years without a trial. The protestors also tried to break in the building of the interior ministry.
