Summary US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says that peaceful resolution must be carried out for Bahrain.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday the United States was looking at ways to support the opposition to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Hillary Clinton said during a joint news conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister that we understand the urgency of this and therefore we are upping our humanitarian assistance and we are looking for ways to support the opposition.Clintons comments came as the White House said on Tuesday it was exploring ways to free up some billions of dollars of assets seized from Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafis government to provide help for the Libyan opposition. Clinton also said she had told Saudi Arabias foreign minister dialogue was needed to bring about a peaceful resolution to unrest in Bahrain. She also said that the US welcomed an announcement by Egypt it was dismantling its state security apparatus.
