Summary Sleuths of Delhi Police detained an Air India pilot in national capital New Delhi.

The pilot identified as J K Verma had allegedly using forged mark sheets to procure a commercial flying licence issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the countrys apes regulatory body in aviation. He was taken into custody for further grilling by the Special Cell of the police on Monday.The arrest is second in the past one week, which has come following the scrutiny of the licences of as many as 3000 to 4000 pilots by the DGCA.Captain J K Verma was apprehended on Saturday night (March 12) following police investigations into a complaint filed by the DGCA.DGCA, in its complaint, had told the police that they doubted the veracity of documents provided by several pilots. Verma was found to have forged mark sheets of the Pilot License Examination (PLE), which is essential for obtaining a commercial pilots licence (CPL).
