Summary Akbar Lone shouted 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans in Indian occupied Kashmir assembly
(Dunya News) – In a bid to counter the anti-Pakistan slogans raised by India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmakers in the Legislative Assembly of Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK), a local Member of Legislative Assemble (MLA) shoted ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, reasoning that his sentiments were hurt.
While talking to media, IoK MLA Akbar Lone said, “I am a Muslim first. My sentiments were hurt when they (BJP MLAs) were shouting ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ slogans.”
He added, “I couldn’t control my emotions and raised Pakistan Zindabad slogans.”
The assembly was adjourned when chaos erupted as the dummy speaker of the assembly Kavinder Gupta gave controversial remarks against Rohingya Muslims, saying they pose threat to peace.
The assembly speaker had alleged the presence of Rohingyas led to attack in IoK on an army camp in the Sunjwan.
