Summary The valuable collections of the National Museum of China in the East of Tiananmen Square are returning to home, as the 4-year renovation of the stadium is completed.

As many as 182 precious pieces of cultural relics were shipped back to the museum, among them the famous Simuwu Rectangle Ding, Chinas biggest piece of bronze ware, and Zilong Tripod, both dating 3,000 years back. They are part of the first collections to come back for an exhibition to be put up soon in the renovated museum. Most of these cultural relics had been stored in a temporary warehouse in the suburb of Beijing since the renovation project began in 2007.The museum had a new elevator installed and operated to move these cultural relics, which could accommodate a weight of 7,000 kilograms, three or four times bigger than a normal elevator. The staff checked the cases and found all of them were delivered safe without any damage.
