Summary The government of Pakistan offered to trade a CIA contractor currently jailed in Pakistan for a Pakistani neuroscientist suspected by US intelligence to be an Al-Qaeda operative. The offer was immediately dismissed by the US government.
A US television channel claims that Pakistani government demanded release of Dr. Aafia from US against CIA contractor Raymond Davis held in Pakistan during Pak-US negotiations. The Pakistani government proposed trading Davis for Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist currently serving 86 years in federal prison for attempted murder. But US officials simply rejected this offer and it will not be considered, a US television confirmed.
