Summary Activists and students protested against a dog show organised in a martyr memorial in India's northern Uttar Pradesh state.
The memorial is a famous historical site as it was the place where legendry freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad had committed suicide. A group of activists including students disrupted the dog show being held in Allahabad city saying that hosting a dog show in the memorial is like showing disrespect to the martyrs.The activists were seen with Indian flags in their hands and shouted slogans against the organisers. Meanwhile, police reached the spot and spoke to the protesters in order to control the situation.
