Summary Protesters in Tunis celebrated on Sunday what they said was an achievement for them with the resignation of the interim Prime Minister Mohammed Ghannouchi and his government, whose ministers they said had ties to the old regime and had failed to implement reforms.
Protesters have been camping out near government offices in the Al-Kasba district of Tunis for more than a week. Some of them had been camping out and sleeping on the ground until their demands for economic and political and constitutional reform were met.Tunis has been trying to adapt to a new change in the system after mass demonstrations in January toppled the 23-year rule of Zin el Abdin Ben Ali.
