Summary Zahi Hawass, the now Minister of Antiquities, assures the safety of the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids after recent protests.
He said, The restoration of all the objects will bring the database personnel of the museum and were going to review all the objects in the Cairo museum to see if there is something missing or not. He added, In my eyes there was two things, one, if anything stolen from Giza pyramids or the Cairo Museum this will be the worst thing, because Giza pyramids and Cairo museum contain the most important things that are in the hearts of everyone all over the world: the pyramids of Kofo, the sphinx; in the Cairo museum: kind tut and mummies, those were saved. And this is why Im very proud to tell the world the valley of the kings was saved, every site synagogue, no one touched a synagogue, no one touched a Christian monastery, no one touched any Islamic monuments and the 24 museums that we have all over Egypt were completely safe. And that is a beautiful message to the whole people all over the world, that the opposition and the pro-government agreed, were united in one thing, protecting the Egyptian monuments.
