Summary WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange appeared in a British court for the first day of his extradition hearing.

Assange’s lawyers told the court that his extradition of his client to Sweden was unnecessary because no legal case was registered against him. The court proceedings will continue for two days and Assange can file an appeal in the British Supreme Court, in case of an unwanted verdict.
