LAUSANNE (AFP) - US Secretary of State John Kerry will meet his French and German counterparts on Saturday, US officials said, as talks to drive home an Iran nuclear deal reach fever pitch.

After first meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Kerry will hold separate talks with France s top diplomat Laurent Fabius.

Kerry will then "have a working lunch" with Fabius and German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, a State Department official said.

"We expect the other P5+1 ministers to arrive this weekend as their schedules allow," the official added, referring to the group leading the negotiations to reach a deal reining in Iran s nuclear ambitions.

The Chinese news agency Xinhua said Foreign Minister Wang Yi would arrive Sunday in the Swiss lakeside town, while Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov and Britain s Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond are also expected sometime over the weekend.
