Myanmar democracy icon and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi will make her first visit abroad to Oslo in June after years of house arrest, the Norwegian foreign ministry said Wednesday.The foreign minister (of Norway, Jonas Gahr Stoere) and Aung San Suu Kyi spoke on the phone Sunday and discussed her visit to Oslo in June, foreign ministry spokesman Svein Michelsen told AFP.The Nobel laureate spent years under house arrest while Burma was ruled by a military junta. She has previously refused to leave Burma for fear that she would not be allowed to return.The exact dates of her travel have not been confirmed, the National League for Democracy spokesman said.British Prime Minister David Cameron extended an invitation to Ms Suu Kyi to visit the UK when he met her last week in Burma.Suu Kyi will make an overseas visit to Oslo after 24 years.
