DUBAI (Web Desk) - A Dubai couple won a luxurious Infiniti Q50 car in a lucky draw of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) held in City Centre Me’aisem where they went to shop for child car seats.
Piyush Agrawal arrived in Dubai only six months backs and was in the mall to buy the seats for his daughters - Ananya, 4, and Akshara, 2.
After buying seats, the couple filled the coupon and talked about what they will do if they won the car. Luckily, he got a call from the mall management saying he was the first lucky winner of the ‘Shop, Win & Drive’ weekly draw this DSS, held at the Dubai Outlet Mall.
Agrawal was surprised and shocked as this was his first ever lucky draw win. "I had participated in DSF 2017 while buying stuff to set-up my home but never won anything except for a "Better Luck Next Time" quote," he said while talking to Khaleej Times.
"When I received the call from the DSMG team congratulating me on my win, I thought it was a prank call. Only when I saw my name on the website, did I really believe it. I owe this prize to my daughters, who are my good luck charm. Had I not bought the car seats for them, I wouldn’t have won this prize," said the overjoyed Agrawal.
Asked if he would be using the new car or selling it off, he said: "My wife now has a new reason to convince me to shop. I had a Hyundai i40 previously but this one is for my wife, who is going to use the new car once she gets her Dubai driving licence.”
