LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two women with identical names caused an unusual mistake by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) where a living woman was declared dead on Thursday.
A curious case was report by Dunya News where two women married to two different men in the neighboring area of Darya Khan, Kohawar Kalan, were being recorded as single entity by NADRA..
One woman named Khanai Mai, married to Ghulam Shabbir, had died while another with an identical name had came to NADRA office in Darya Khan for renewal of her identity card.
She was send back by a NADRA official by saying, “You have died Khanai Mai, and your ID card has been blocked.”
Khanai Mai has been suffering from trouble since then and she has pleaded for a quick solution to her problem.
