Wii U will launch next year

A new gaming platform that adds a small screen to a controller that can interact with the larger TV screen or be used as a handheld device will be launched next year. Wii U will allow games to leverage two different screens, but will not be a standalone device, as its powered by the Wii console, and should not be considered a tablet. The key to the 3DSs success is that it does not require glasses and Nintendo does noyt see that technology coming to consoles in the near future.Wii U will offer a new type of gaming experience and would not be hard to sell as the two-screen experience is the future. Sony has not announced its next-generation console yet but it is expected to ship in 2012.
